What is VIP Sports Getaway, and how did we get here?

Like any great idea, VIP Sports Getaway started as a spark in a young man’s mind.  Something caught his eye and his imagination starting running wild.

You see, our current CEO & majority share-owner, Kris Randolph, at one time was an accomplished truck driver. One day he was parked along-side a busy interstate highway in Texas, and he started watching traffic as it sped by. The dark grey asphalt led the way for all type and size vehicles, as usual.  The type or size of vehicle wouldn’t usually stand out in Kris’ mind.  He was accustomed to heavy traffic as he regularly drove through large cities like Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

But, on this eventful day, there was one particular type of vehicle that did catch his eye.  There were plenty of them on the road that day.  So, of all the vehicles that scurried down the highway that day, what type was it that made Kris sit up and take notice?  Was it a red Ferrari?  A sleek limousine? (Getting closer)

Of all the vehicles speeding by, it was tour buses that started making an impression on his mind. He wondered where are they going?  Who’s inside?  What’s it look like inside the tour bus they’re on?  Are they having fun during their trip or just sitting there counting the stripes on the pavement? Of course, this last question was what really pricked his curiosity.  As you know, half the fun is just getting there!

He started to wonder.  Then he started to think.  Then he started to plan.

He had played all the “traveling” games at one time or another.  You know, the alphabet game, out-of-state license plate game… The list goes on.

Kris wasn’t a kid anymore.  He knew there had to be a better way for a group of people to have fun during their trip. And, it didn’t have to be just a random group of people.  Why couldn’t it be a group of close friends?  Maybe even a group co-workers or business colleagues.  Also, maybe these groups should have plush couches to lounge on, flat-screen TV’s and cold drinks. They could all have an experience; not just a trip.

Kris saw a need for something exciting and fun and one-of-a kind.  Something that makes people say, “Wow, I had such a great time from start to finish”.  And, it could be a whole weekend getaway.  While he was thinking, he figured why not take that getaway on a luxury touring coach.  Heck, why not turn the whole thing into a business so he could ensure that more and more people could enjoy something so wonderful.

So, he went to work. Planning, securing funds, securing investors, buying luxury coaches.  Well, Kris has a sharp mind so he also found some help along the way ensuring he had the best people and the best chance at success.
